Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger – Juicy, Smoky, and Packed with Flavor

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20)

  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon

  • 6 slices cheddar cheese

  • 6 brioche buns

  • 1 cup ketchup

  • ½ cup bourbon

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste

  • Lettuce, tomato, onion for toppings

Instructions

  • Make bourbon BBQ sauce by simmering ketchup, bourbon, sugar, Worcestershire, vinegar, and paprika for 15 minutes.

  • Cook bacon until crispy; set aside.

  • Form beef into 6 patties, season well.

  • Grill or pan-cook burgers 4–5 minutes per side, topping with cheese in last minute.

  • Toast buns, then assemble with sauce, toppings, burger, bacon, and more sauce.

Notes

  • Sauce can be made ahead and stored for a week.

  • For extra smoky flavor, grill burgers over charcoal.
