Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 46 soft sandwich buns

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper for 5–6 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

  • Add ground chicken, cook 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain if needed.

  • Stir in Cajun seasoning, then add tomato sauce, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Simmer on low heat for 10–12 minutes until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  • Spoon onto toasted buns and serve hot.

Notes

  • Make it spicier with hot sauce or jalapeños.

  • Add shredded cheese for a creamy, cheesy version.

  • For a lighter option, use ground turkey.
