1 lb ground chicken
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium bell pepper, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
4–6 soft sandwich buns
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper for 5–6 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
Add ground chicken, cook 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain if needed.
Stir in Cajun seasoning, then add tomato sauce, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer on low heat for 10–12 minutes until thickened. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Spoon onto toasted buns and serve hot.
Make it spicier with hot sauce or jalapeños.
Add shredded cheese for a creamy, cheesy version.
For a lighter option, use ground turkey.
