Cheddar Jalapeño Cornbread Waffles: A Crispy, Cheesy Twist on Classic Cornbread

  • 2 jalapeños, finely diced

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle iron and grease lightly.

  • Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently.

  • Fold in cheese and jalapeños.

  • Pour batter into waffle iron and cook 3–5 minutes until golden.

  • Serve with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor.

  • Top with honey or salsa for extra flavor.
