Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Orzo – Quick, Easy, and Packed with Flavor

  • 12 oz chicken sausage, sliced

  • 1 cup orzo pasta

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 ½ cups chicken broth

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • ¼ cup Parmesan (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown sausage slices for 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.

  3. Add orzo and toast for 1-2 minutes. Pour in broth and simmer for 8-10 minutes.

  4. Stir in broccoli during the last 3 minutes.

  5. Return sausage, add lemon juice, Parmesan if using, and mix well. Serve hot.
