French Onion Funeral Potatoes Recipe

  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed

  • 1 cup French onion dip

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 large caramelized onion

  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes or panko breadcrumbs

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a bowl, combine hash browns, dip, soup, sour cream, cheese, and onions.

  3. Spread mixture into the dish.

  4. Toss melted butter with cornflakes or panko and sprinkle on top.

  5. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  6. Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
