Maple-Bourbon Banana Bread – Moist, Sweet, and Comforting

  • 3 overripe bananas, mashed

  • ½ cup butter, melted

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • ¼ cup bourbon

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp nutmeg

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment.

  • Mash bananas, mix with butter, maple syrup, bourbon, and eggs.

  • Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt.

  • Fold dry mix into wet until just combined. Stir in nuts if using.

  • Pour into loaf pan, bake 55–65 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For muffins, bake 20–22 minutes.

  • Freeze slices for easy grab-and-go breakfasts.
