Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Bars

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar (for crust)

  • 5 medium apples (peeled, sliced)

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (for filling)

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of nutmeg

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup flour (for topping)

  • ½ cup brown sugar (for topping)

  • ½ cup butter (cold, cubed)

  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)

  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.

  2. Mix butter, flour, and sugar for crust. Press into pan and bake 15 minutes.

  3. Toss apples with sugar, flour, and spices. Spread over crust.

  4. Mix oats, flour, sugar, and butter for topping. Sprinkle over apples.

  5. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden. Cool completely.

  6. Drizzle caramel sauce and sprinkle sea salt. Slice into bars.

Notes

  • Cool fully before cutting for clean slices.

  • Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for balance.

  • Store in fridge for up to 5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
