3 cups all-purpose flour
2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
1 cup fresh mozzarella (sliced or shredded)
½ cup fresh basil leaves
1 clove garlic (minced, optional)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Mix flour, yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil, and water. Knead 8 minutes, then let rise 1 hour.
Roll dough into a rectangle. Brush with olive oil and garlic.
Layer tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil evenly.
Roll tightly, seal seam, and place seam-side down.
Brush with egg wash. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
Cool 10 minutes before slicing.
Pat tomatoes dry to avoid soggy bread.
Add balsamic drizzle for extra flavor.
Can be made with store-bought pizza dough.
